KCCA FC head coach Sergio Traguil left Lugogo with mixed feelings after his side's 3-2 win over SC Villa in the FUFA Super 8 Tournament third-place playoff.

First, he was happy with the result and bits of his team's performance but did not like the idea of being in a third-place playoff when he could have been in the final fighting for gold.

"I don't like to play losers' game so I was not happy with that," Traguil said when asked about his side's achievements from the pre-season tournament that involved the Top Eight clubs from the previous season.

KCCA FC patron Erias Lukwago who also doubles as the Kampala Lord Mayor has made reshuffles in the club board of directors. Eng Andrew Sserunjogi Mukiibi is the new KCCA FC chairman, replacing Martin Ssekajja

"I had the opportunity to work with almost all players, to change the system in this tournament, to see their behaviour like offensive coverage, defensive coverage," he added.

The Kasasiro Boys relied on Arafat Usama's brace and Ashraf Mugume's goal to shrug off Villa in the Sunday afternoon fixture, and Traguil believes the best team won, and should have won a lot more convincingly.

"We completely outplayed this team (Villa). They had few chances in the second half because we are the ones that made them believe," the Portuguese tactician said.

"We made some silly mistakes, and that is one of our challenges in this season. Having a youth squad of KCCA, sometimes the consistency is not the same and it cost us two goals.

"The young boys are talented, but they need consistency, consistency to play at the high level because we are trying to go to CAF Group Stages, so we have to be alert and follow the plan and the things that we are working on every single day."

David Owori and Charles Lwanga scored for the Jogoos, but their goals were not enough as KCCA held on to finish third ahead of the new season.

Meanwhile, BUL FC defeated URA FC 3-1 in spot kicks to lift the trophy.

Substitute Josel Mutakubwa saved kicks from Hudu Mulikyi, Nicholas Kabonge and Sharif Kimbowa to win it for the Jinja-based outfit.
