"If we are granted the opportunity to participate, the development of flag football at the grassroots level will undoubtedly contribute to our dream of representing our country at the Olympics," Okeng confidently stated.

To further promote the sport, Okeng called upon various stakeholders to collaborate with the federation in establishing football academies.

He invited, stating, "Those interested in establishing academies are encouraged to engage with us. Together, we can find ways to support and nurture the sport.

We have already secured an MOU with Lira University, where they will provide us with land to establish a facility and foster the growth of flag football in the region."

Following their successful completion of the certification course, the qualified coaches will be deployed to various schools across the country in preparation for the upcoming inaugural flag football schools championships, scheduled to take place next month.
