Johnnie Walker takes the helm as the title sponsor this year, succeeding Tusker Lite, and brings forth a generous package of UGX 410 million, including a 100 pro kitty.

"There is going to be a lot of experiential, a lot of fun; this open will present opportunities for those playing on the course and those who love golf," Moses Matsiko, the President of Uganda Golf Union, shared with Pulse Sports.

The championship has garnered generous participation from across Africa, featuring players from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Rwanda, Burundi, and Kenya.

Emmanuel Wamala, the Captain of Uganda Golf Club, highlighted the extensive preparations to ensure the course is pristine.
"We have done a lot of preparation to ensure that we put up a conducive environment for the players to give the golfers a memorable experience," Wamala noted.

Pinnacle Security will oversee the entire tournament's security, ensuring a safe and secure environment for players and attendees.

Additionally, a host of partners, including Aquafina, HTC, Case Medservices, Medisell, Orchard Interiors, and Absa Bank, have collaborated to contribute to the tournament's success.
Absa Bank, making a notable Shs 200 million contribution, serves as the official sponsor of the Pro-Am tournament.
