Newly appointed URA FC head coach David Obua is optimistic about starting his reign with positive results as his side hosts current Uganda Premier League runners-up Kitara FC.

"I have been with the lads for five days, and they have responded well," the former Hearts FC star was quoted saying by the club media.

"The mood is good, and I want to start off my journey here on a winning note," he added.

URA have only collected nine points this season out of a possible 18, an indifferent start that has them seventh on the log.

On the other hand, Kitara have picked an impressive 15 points in six matches, despite being a newly promoted side.

However, in the most recent game to Maroons FC (1-0) last week, they suffered their first and only defeat of the season so far.

Today's encounter will be the second between the two in top-flight history, with their first coming in 2021 as URA won 3-2.

On that occasion, Steven Mukwala, Brian Majwega and Shafik Kagimu netted for the latter, while Ronald Kyamanywa and Denis Monday scored for the Royals.
