Aaron Ofoyrwoth has been one of the instrumental players for the Kyadondo-based side this season.

The Platinum Credit Heathens started off the Nile Special Rugby League season on a losing note to the Stanbic Black Pirates but have since turned the tide for the better, winning all six of their games.

Aaron Ofoyrwoth has been one of the instrumental players for the Kyadondo-based side this season.

The flyhalf who leads the rugby league scorer's charts with 85 points says it's been down to the extra effort he puts in during training.

"Me having a good kicking boot is because of the hard work I am investing in while practising each time I go for training," he noted.

Ofoyrwoth also makes the top three list for the most tries this campaign so far (7) to him the current table standings mean Heathens have to dig deep and win the remaining games with bonus points.

"The Kobs' win over Pirates pushed us up on the table, so we have to work harder going forward. We need to win all our remaining games with bonus points to be champions at the end of the season."

Heathens currently occupy the second spot, level on points with table leaders and arch-rivals Kobs after seven games played.

Match day eight will see the Heathens play Walukuba Babarians in an early kick-off at 1 pm.

The schedule is completed by buffaloes against Mongers, Pirates at home to Impis, Kobs against Rhinos, and Hippos against Rams.
