A medical camp, a charity car wash, a Vet's game against the current Kobs team and a charity event in Naguru are some of the activities lined up ahead of the sixty-year celebration.

Uganda's oldest Rugby side Kampala Old Boys (KOBs), have revealed a series of events lined up as they celebrate their memorable sixty-year existence in Ugandan rugby.

A medical camp, a charity car wash, a Vet's game against the current Kobs team and a charity event in Naguru are some of the activities lined up ahead of the sixty-year celebration.

Kobs chairman Dr Tonny Stone Luggya says the move is intended to give back to the community, creating strategic partnerships for the club and changing lives.

"Kobs at sixty is a significant milestone celebration for our existence aimed at touching lives and networking; we're trying to bring back everyone on board but also give back to the community that made us," Luggya told Pulse Sports.

"All the activities are building up for that; we want the celebration to be significant for the fans, players and everyone else in Rugby," he added.

Instituted in 1963, the Kobs are regarded as the oldest rugby team in Uganda; the luggage-based side has won a record 13 Nile Special Rugby Premiership titles and eight Uganda Cup and club sevens titles, among others.
