He has time and again altered his positions on the pitch, especially with Bugisu Province in the FUFA Drum.

Despite playing as a goalkeeper for the biggest patch of his career, James Alitho has a standing history operating in outfield positions, particularly as a forward.

And, URA head coach David Obua feels flattered by Alitho's attacking and goalscoring prowess and is determined to give the chance as they take on Maroons FC in the Uganda Premier League on Thursday.

"Alitho is definitely going to play as a striker," Obua told the club media as he revealed the team news for their tie with the Prison Warders at Mehta Stadium,  Lugazi.

"We have already told him that. He will lead the line from the front. Alitho is so good, he can play in front and in goal, so tomorrow he will replace Norman (Namanya) and he'll score goals."

It comes as a shock as the club is stacked with quality forwards including Ivan Ahimbisibwe. The Tax Collectors also loaned Sharif Kimbowa back to Wakiso Giants in January.

Meanwhile, Obua is convinced his side will compete against a stubborn Maroons team, to pick maximum points.

"We are motivated. We see a lot on the table and a lot can change. We are coming to play well, be aggressive and play to win," he said.

URA sit eighth on the 16-team table with 27 points in 18 games, and victory will put them level with Maroons, who are sixth.
