"We don't need to get disappointed (by the previous results), we just need to get up. There's always the next game ahead of us where we can work better and get better results."

The manner with which 13-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC lost their previous game against Kitara (1-0), left bruises to the team and fanbase alike, last Friday.

The 'Cityzens' had dominated proceedings, and created multiple chances which they failed to tuck away, only for Denis Omedi to strike late from a defensive lapse.

However, that's five days back, and head coach Abdallah Mubiru wants his team to forget about the nightmare, and lay full focus on their tie against NEC FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo this evening.

"The league is a marathon and we can't keep lamenting about the loss in the previous game, it's a gone chapter," Mubiru told the club media.

"We are now looking ahead to the game against NEC. Of course, it's a tricky side, but we know how we've prepared to attack them and we're forward to positive results."

"We don't need to get disappointed (by the previous results), we just need to get up. There's always the next game ahead of us where we can work better and get better results."

"That's what drives us and this game against NEC is where get the chance to rectify the mistakes we made in the previous game," the tactician added.

Cromwell Rwothomio scored a brace in a 2-0 win for NEC in the first round against KCCA, but the latter will be keen on avoiding another defeat.

NEC have been superior to their opponents as they sit fourth with 31 points as compared to KCCA, who are placed ninth with 23.
