Leading pay tv firm and the official broadcasters of the Uganda Premier League, StarTimes are a force to reckon with in the pay television broadcasting industry following their recent feat.

StarTimes were on hand to showcase the league finale, which was decided on the final day with three clubs involved; table leaders SC Villa, along with KCCA FC and Vipers, were all hosting their final games on a day that gripped many to follow proceedings.

All three clubs and their respective influential fixtures were broadcast live on Sanyuka Prime, FUFA TV, and BBS Terefayina, unprecedented in Ugandan football.

Vipers’ 5-0 win against Busoga United earned them the league, their first time to defend it, and their sixth league title in the club’s history, all after SC Villa lost to URA FC 1-0.

The latest from the pay-TV market leaders is the introduction of the StarTimes WSC Sports company.

This Israel-based technology firm will produce real-time Uganda Premier League highlights and videos.

All stakeholders will access the content at a go, all done to make the league product easily accessible to the consumer.

The league is broadcast on Sanyuka Prime, while Makula TV is another channel where local content like the Miss Uganda reality show is aired for the viewers to enjoy.
