URA first hosted their games in Lugazi in 2012 where they won two Uganda Cup titles in 2011/12 and 2013/14. They then shifted to the Mandela national stadium in Namboole citing a challenge in the cricket pitch at the middle.

Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club will officially return to the Mekhta Stadium in Lugazi after six years in the wilderness.

The Uganda Premier League secretariat has confirmed that the team will return to Lugazi this weekend to host Busoga United.

The Tax Collectors have been hosting their home games at the Nakisunga Saza Ground in Kyetume this season but they’ve finally returned to Lugazi.

“The above-mentioned match (URA FC Vs BUSOGA UNITED FC) that had earlier been postponed has been scheduled for Saturday 25th, March at [the] Mehta Stadium-Lugazi,” UPL communicated.

The match had earlier been postponed to pave way for the Uganda cranes versus Kitara region Select that took place over the weekend.

Nomads

URA first hosted their games in Lugazi in 2012 where they won two Uganda Cup titles in 2011/12 and 2013/14. They then shifted to the Mandela national stadium in Namboole citing a challenge in the cricket pitch at the middle.

They played at Namboole from the beginning of the 2017/18 season but left to the Arena of Visions inside Ndejje University two years later due to the stadium management allowing non-sporting activities to take place inside the stadium.

They, again, relocated to Nakisunga at the beginning of the season but have now moved back to Lugazi “to rebuild their fan base”.
