There is also growing confidence among bidders that the Glazer family, who currently own Manchester United and value the club at least £6bn, are willing to sell.

Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani is set to make his second bid for Manchester United on Wednesday, according to sources in the United States.

Talks between Sheikh Jassim's Qatari delegation and United executives last Thursday were reportedly positive, and his advisers are now working on putting together a new bid.

There is also growing confidence among bidders that the Glazer family, who currently own Manchester United and value the club at least £6bn, are willing to sell.

This has caused a change in Sheikh Jassim's previous stance of not wanting to pay over the odds for the club. The Qatari delegation is said to be fully committed to buying the club.

During the delegation's recent visit to Old Trafford, experts in finance, banking, property, and law were able to gain a perspective on what they could do with their capital investment regarding infrastructure, youth development, and the women's team.

In addition to Sheikh Jassim's bid, British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also expected to make a second offer for Manchester United after visiting the club on Friday.

The INEOS delegation spent six hours at Old Trafford and Carrington, and they will now go away and digest the information they received before making a new formal offer.

Sky Sports News also reports that sources in New York have revealed that "there should be no doubt at all that Sheikh Jassim wants to be the owner and custodian of United."

The news of these bids is sure to excite Manchester United fans who have been calling for new ownership amidst frustrations with the Glazer family's management of the club.
