Super Eagles stars Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi have come up with the only way 100 humans win against a Gorilla

In what might be one of the wildest debates on the internet right now, a bizarre hypothetical question has taken social media by storm: Could 100 unarmed men defeat a single Gorilla in a fight?

Nigeria’s Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey have joined the discussion, and their verdict is crystal clear: Anthony Joshua or bust.

‘Depends on who the humans are,’ – Iwobi calls in Anthony Joshua

When asked to weigh in on the fantasy fight scenario, Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi gave the most calculated response of the day.

Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey grinned with pride.

Rather than choosing a side immediately, Iwobi smartly questioned the makeup of the human squad, saying, “Depends on who the humans are,”

That’s when Iwobi playfully invoked British-Nigerian boxing legend Anthony Joshua, asking if someone like him would even count as a "normal guy" in this hypothetical fight.

A fair point, because 100 men with the stature of famed British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua would certainly stand a better chance than 10 average Joes.

Bassey and Premier League stars agree on Gorilla supremacy

However, Calvin Bassey didn’t hesitate given the same hypothetical situation. Once the interviewer clarified that the men in question were average, he swiftly cast his lot with the Gorilla.

“That Gorilla... It would just rip you,” Bassey said, brushing aside any doubt about the Silverback Gorilla defeating all 100 average-sized men.

And he’s not alone in this belief. England internationals Lewis Dunk and Danny Welbeck also weighed in, both agreeing that the 100-man army would be dismantled with minimal effort by the mighty primate.

Neither of them fancied the idea of being part of the doomed centenary. Welbeck, always a practical man, made it clear that he would not be signing up to fight in the hypothetical scenario.
