Arsenal are five points clear at the top of the Premier League, but they are not obsessed about the title, according to technical director Edu.

Arsenal restored their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table after a convincing win against Fulham on Sunday.

With 11 games left to play, Arsenal are edging closer to winning their first league title since 2003/04, but Manchester City are still in hot pursuit as they seek a three-peat.

Edu says Arsenal are taking it week by week

Arsenal’s technical director, Edu, was in attendance as the Gunners swept the London Football Awards.

While speaking to the press about Arsenal’s title charge, he revealed how the players and staff have taken it game by game rather than focusing on winning the title.

"Well we, to be fair, we internally never mention anything about a title internally, really. We always talk about performing, how we can perform better every week. Mikel is sending those messages to say, 'guys we want to be better and better and better every week'. And then let's see how we're going to finish,” he said.

We cannot dream if you don't really live the moment that we are living right now. So let's do it the way we are doing at the moment, and let's see at the end of the season where we're going to be," he added.

What's next for Arsenal?

The Gunners welcome Sporting Lisbon to the Emirates on Thursday, looking to pick up a win to advance to the Europa League quarterfinals.

In the Premier League, Arsenal will host struggling Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, with an opportunity to extend their lead to eight points. Manchester City will not be involved in the Premier League, as they face Burnley in an FA Cup quarterfinal clash.
