Arsenal will be hoping to consolidate on a hard-fought win the last time at Selhurst Park when they welcome Calvin Bassey and Fulham to the Emirates.

2022/2023 Premier League title contenders Arsenal are up and running in 2023/2024 as they look to return to the heights they reached last season.

Arsenal are one of only three teams who have a 100% start to the new season after two wins in as many matches.

The Gunners host Fulham next in a game between two sides with contrasting fortunes from the previous weekend.

The home side survived a scare the last time when they travelled to Selhurst Park to face a brave Crystal Palace side.

Down to ten men for following early showers for defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, the Gunners held on to see off their stubborn hosts Palace 1-0 with captain Martin Odegaard’s first half penalty the difference.

This weekend, it is a London derby as they welcome a Fulham side looking to return to winning ways.

Fulham failed to consolidate their win on the opening day following a disappointing 3-0 demolition to Brentford.

Complete with their Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey, the Cottagers had a day to forget and will look to bounce back when they take on the Gunners in another local derby.

However, while Fulham will travel to the Emirates confident of getting a result, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal know that the odds and stats are in their favour to maintain that 100 per cent start as their visitors have never beaten the Gunners away from home in 31 matches.

The game between Arsenal and Fulham is one of four matches slated for Saturday afternoon and will kick off at 3 p.m. Nigerian time.
