Arteta reveals the things Arsenal must do if they are to stand a chance of claiming an unexpected 14th league title this season.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed two things that his side must do to win the Premier League title even though destiny is not in their hands anymore.

Speaking to the press prior to their game against Chelsea, Arteta revealed that achieving the club’s primary objective of qualifying for the Champions League was a difficult but commendable achievement, but that his side “is still not satisfied”

Arsenal were eight points ahead of Manchester City prior to their match against Liverpool, but they lost that lead, drawing against the Reds, West Ham, and Southampton in quick succession, before getting thumped 4-1 by Manchester City.

“Win tomorrow - that’s what we have to do,” the Basque-born manager said. "Within the disappointment and the spirit around [the club], we need to do two things - recognise what a lot of people around the club have done to get us back into the Champions League, which was already a difficult thing to achieve,” he added.

“Not a lot of people were very optimistic that we had the ability to do that at the start of the season, and we need to start recognising the good work that a lot of people have done to achieve that.

"The second thing - which I like the most - is that even achieving that with six games to go - something that hasn’t happened in more than a decade at this club - means that we are still not satisfied, still upset and we want more.

"We want the club to be consistently with the best, that’s the mentality we need and that’s what I’ve loved most over the last few days."

Arsenal have a tough run in as the season almost comes to a close. After Chelsea, they will still have to face Brighton and then Newcastle United. If they are to stand a chance of achieving their dream, they have to ensure that there is no margin for error in the run-in.
