Vidal believes the decision to sack Ronaldo was wrong and slammed the former Bayern Munich II coach during an outburst on one of his streams.

Former Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Barcelona star Arturo Vidal has called-out Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag for his decision to get rid of Cristiano Ronaldo a year ago, while further aiming a dig at the Dutch coach by saying bald managers are 'complicated'.

Ronaldo left Old Trafford for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr in January, after falling out of favor under Ten Hag and doing an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan where he publicly called out the club.

The Portuguese had been the top scorer in the season before Ten Hag's arrival but was seen as surplus to requirements under the Dutchman and offloaded just months into the former Ajax manager's tenure at United.

Vidal believes the decision was wrong and slammed the former Bayern Munich II coach during an outburst on one of his streams.

The midfielder, currently playing his football in Brazil with Atletico Paranaense, was asked about Ronaldo's situation and defended his United depature, while also taking a shot at bald managers - who he described as complicated.

“The coach came in badly, “  Vidal said, referring to ten Hag's arrival in Manchester.

“How are you going to take out Cristiano Ronaldo? That's how these guys are. He was the scorer and he takes him out. The bald guys are very complicated.”

Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford from Juventus in 2021 and scored 24 goals in 38 games during his first season back in Manchester, earning a place in the PFA Team of the Season.

However, after the appointment of Ten Hag, the Portuguese icon struggled for regular game time as the Dutch coach looked to put his own stamp on a team that was struggling for identity.

The lack of game time led to Ronaldo's departure to the Middle East, where he became the catalyst for the Saudi Pro League's assault on recruiting big-name European players.

Vidal's accusation towards bald managers stems from his time with Jorge Sampaoli for both the Chile national team and Flamengo, where the midfielder plied his trade last season.

Although he won the Copa Libertadores and Brazilian Cup in his only season with the club, he was often overlooked from the starting lineup by Sampaoli.

The 36-year-old hit out at Sampaoli, calling him a 'loser' and accused him of not appreciating his players.

"I am very happy to be playing. I was always ready to play, it was just that I got stuck with a loser coach who did not know how to appreciate his players," he said back in July.
