The finals is returning to the West African football giant for the first time since the 1984 edition.

The Confederation of African Football has confirmed that the 2023 Africa Cup of nations will take place from January 13 to February 11 next year in Ivory Coast.

The final is returning to the West African football giant for the first time since the 1984 edition.

“The TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023 dates have been officially confirmed by CAF, with the opening match scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan,” CAF communicated.

The continental body revealed the dates just a day after round four of the qualifiers that saw four teams book a place in the 24-team tournament.

Algeria, Morocco, South Africa and Senegal are the four that have already qualified.

The qualifiers conclude with rounds five and six in June and September. The draws will be held in September.
