Cristiano Ronaldo is excited after scoring his first goal of the year for Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo shows no signs of slowing down in his relentless pursuit of the all-time goal record after he netted his first of 2024. 

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that Al Nassr kicked off the second half of the Saudi Pro League in a positive with Ronaldo on target against Al-Fayha.

Ronaldo begins to count

Just a few weeks after he defeated star forwards like Erling Haaland and Harry Kane to be crowned the top scorer for 2023, the Portuguese is off the mark for the new year. 

Ronaldo scored an incredible 53 goals across competitions for club and country last year to under his enduring quality at the age of 38.

And the Real Madrid and Manchester United legend has wasted no time getting off the mark in 2024 for Al Nassr, slotting home in their away game against Al-Fayha.

As reported by Pulse Sports, the 39-year-old finished superbly following a delicious pass from Marcelo Brozovic to set Al Nassr on their way to victory as they resumed for the final phase of the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo has opened his account for 2024.

Following the goal, Ronaldo took to his social media account to pose an interesting question for his fans, well-wishers and critics alike. 

“Who's counting?” the Portuguese quizzed on microblogging platform, X.com, formerly Twitter. 

That striker takes Ronaldo’s total tally to 873 goals across the competition in over 1200 matches for club and country. 

With his sharpness and hunger undimmed, Ronaldo served notice that he was ready for another battle for the top marksman in the new year. His eyes are firmly fixed on the prize.
