The Barcelona forward Ferran Torres has revealed that he wants to remain at Barcelona and said he is happy at Camp Nou despite being linked away from the club this summer.

Torres joined Barcelona from Manchester City in January 2022 for a deal worth €55 million plus €10 million add-ons after two years at the Etihad.

The Spanish forward has had a sub-par performance since arriving at Camp Nou, having only 122 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 13 assists.

According to reports, he has recently been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Aston Villa said to be monitoring him.

However, he has made it known that he is happy at Barcelona and wants to remain at the club this summer.

Ferran Torres wants Barcelona stay

The 23-year-old does not want a move to Premier League club Aston Villa and wants to remain at Camp Nou this summer.

According to the Romano Fabrizio report on Twitter, Ferran Torres said, “I can’t wait to continue at Barcelona. I’m really happy at Barça and my plan is to continue at the club”

Torres is looking forward to staying at Barcelona and will be looking to start the new season on a good note.

Despite being linked with a move to Aston Villa, there have been no concrete talks between both clubs and has no plan to leave at this stage.

Barcelona looking to bring in new players

The Spanish giants are currently in the transfer market for quality players as they look ahead to next season.

They have currently brought in Man City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer and are still looking to bring in more players.

Barcelona have also lost some players this summer with the likes of Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets leaving Camp Nou and still looking to replace the duo.

Xavi is looking to continue Barcelona’s reign in LaLiga by adding more depth to the squad after winning the title last season.
