Former Crested Cranes, Simba coach set to be appointed Kampala Queens head coach

Meanwhile, Ayiekoh is one of the most versed coaches in women's football in the country, having witnessed success with several teams.

Following the sacking of Charles Nsanziro Ssenyange Kadidi, Kampala Queens FC are set to appoint former Uganda Women's team coach Charles Ayiekoh Lukula.

Ssenyange was shown the exit door at the Palace on Saturday, and as per Swift Sports, Ayiekoh will take charge as his direct successor.

The former had only been in charge for six months, having been appointed in July.

Meanwhile, Ayiekoh is one of the most versed coaches in women's football in the country, having witnessed success with several teams.

He is a former FUFA Women's Super League champion with the She Corporate in 2022.

With the She Corporate, they went all the way to the final of the CAF CECAFA Women's Champions League, eventually clinching a runners-up finish.

Ayiekoh has also previously managed Simba Queens in Tanzania, a side he led to the women's CAF Champions League semifinals.

His most recent job had him as interim head coach for the Crested Cranes as they played the Olympics qualifiers against Cameroon and bowed out on a 3-2 aggregate defeat.

Currently, Kampala Queens sit top of the 2023/24 Women's Super League table with 10 points after just four games.
