Mikel Arteta has been criticised by Peter Schmeichel, who claimed he is negatively impacting the team's players.
Arsenal drew 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, having come back from two goals down in the first half.
Before the start of the game with Liverpool, Schmeichel strongly criticised the Arsenal manager and labelled him a "control freak".
The legendary goalkeeper blamed the manager for both poor on-field performances and unsuccessful transfer dealings.

Schmeichel hits put at Arteta
According to the Sun, pundit Peter Schmeichel held Mikel Arteta responsible for Arsenal's continued failure to secure any silverware this season.
Schmeichel said, "It's all on Arteta, all. What I’m saying is that he was employed as head coach. He inherited the team and that team is the only team that he has won a trophy with.
)
"Then it’s his own team now and in the process he’s changed job description so he’s now the manager. Everything is on him. It’s not recruitment, it’s not the board.
"I would urge the viewer, whenever they get the opportunity, to watch him in the technical area. Arteta is a control freak, he wants his players to play the ball that he wants. He’s directing everything.
“You look across to Arne Slot, who is so calm. He’s instructed his players in training and instructed the players in the team talk.
)
"Arteta is still playing the game for the players and that would confuse the hell out of me as a football player that you had a coach who wants to direct me for everything I do. It would confuse me and make me a worse player.”
Mikel Arteta's sole trophy with Arsenal remains the 2020 FA Cup, a victory achieved with a squad inherited from his predecessor, Unai Emery.
He has gone on to spend a £650 million investment in the transfer market across his last five seasons at Arsenal.
