Flying URA FC right-back James Begisa Penz has recovered from a strained muscle that has ruled him out of his side's opening games of the Uganda Premier League campaign.

The former UPDF FC star, who has been out for the last five weeks, missed URA's three games as he recovered from the setback.

In his absence, the Tax Collectors won just once against Gadaffi FC (2-0) and drew the other two; 1-1 against Soltilo Bright Stars FC and 0-0 with UPDF FC.

“It’s been tough times as no player would wish to be out," Begisa told URA FC media in an interview.

"But I want to thank the club medical team for the tremendous work done to see me back and join the rest of my teammates in full training."

While he was on the sidelines, new signing and skipper Enock Walusimbi filled the void, and the pair will now have to fight for the spot.

"I feel okay and want to continue working hard in this international break to get back to my best," Begisa noted.

Meanwhile, Walusimbi has since been summoned to the Uganda Cranes ahead of the forthcoming international friendlies against Mali and Zambia.

URA will now play host to Wakiso Giants FC in their fourth match of the season on October 21 at Mehta Stadium Lugazi, and it will be interesting to see who will get the nod in the starting eleven.
