Arsenal were held to a thrilling 2-2 draw against Liverpool in the Premier League. But that result could prove fatal for the Gunners in the title race.

  • LIVERPOOL 2-2 ARSENAL: #PL FULL-TIME THOUGHTS
  • Liverpool put in a much-improved performance, perhaps one of their best performances of the season against Mikel Arteta's men - a huge positive for Jurgen Klopp.  #LIVARS
  • Mohamed Salah's penalty miss could have changed the entire game but it was just not to be for the prolific Egyptian this evening.  #LIVARS
  • Once again, Roberto Firmino showed what Liverpool might miss when he exits the club at the end of his contract this summer, another clutch moment to remember in his impressive career at Anfield.  #LIVARS
  • The result gives Liverpool hope in their quest for European football next season.  #LIVARS
  • For Arsenal, a draw here isn't certainly a bad result, but the Gunners must ask themselves serious questions having nearly collapsed in the second half.  #LIVARS
  • Mikel Arteta's men could have easily lost against Liverpool had it not been for what some would call.....'fate'.  #LIVARS
  • The draw against Liverpool only puts pressure on the league leaders who are seriously being hunted by the defending champions City who they will face next up in the Premier League in a 'must-win' game for both teams.  #LIVARS
  • Aaron Ramsdale was colossal for Arsenal against Liverpool and easily the Man of The Match - another positive for Arteta.  #LIVARS
  • Mikel Arteta on Aaron Ramsdale: “He was superb again today. You need your goalkeeper at Anfield.  “It’s a shame after how we started. The big lesson is in the first half that they came here and played with that personality.” #LIVARS

Aaron Ramsdale was impressive for Arsenal in their 2-2 draw against Liverpool
  • Mikel Arteta: “We lost control and started to give a lot of balls away. The game became open. We needed resilience, we needed our keeper in the last moment. I think a draw is a fair result.” #LIVARS
Mikel Arteta
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta belives the 2-2 draw against Liverpool is a fair result
  • Mikel Arteta on #LIVARS: “I imagine for the outside world it was a great game to watch. We started really well. Just before half-time we conceded and we gave Liverpool some momentum.”
  • Jurgen Klopp: "All of a sudden we were in charge of a wild game. We deserved at least a point. If Ibou [Konate] uses his head [for a late chance] it’s a goal. Maybe he slipped. He had a chance, it was just there.” #LIVARS
  • Jurgen Klopp: “We had moments and chances where we didn’t finish the situations off. Slightly typical. They’re flying so they score with their first chance. The goal we scored helped massively. At half-time it wasn’t over. Good moment to get the equaliser." #LIVARS

  • Jurgen Klopp: “I’m caught in between [being happy and not]. I have no problems with drawing. Arsenal were good but they could and should have lost this game. The point for them is better." #LIVARS
  • Jurgen Klopp: "How we didn’t win it with those late chances I don’t know." #LIVARS
  • Jurgen Klopp on Liverpool's 2-2 draw vs Arsenal: "A bit typical for us this season. An open game, completely open, they score with the first situation and the second one. Our reaction was good. It was a spectacular game in the end." #LIVARS

  •  Jurgen Klopp on his thoughts on the Andy Robertson clash with the assistant referee at half-time: "Nothing. I know it happened but I didn’t watch it. If it happened the pictures will speak for themselves.” #LIVARS

  • 70' 1-2: The hosts are trying everything to level matters once more, but Arsenal's defence has been resilient so far. #LIVARS

  • 60' 1-2: (LIVERPOOL SUBSTITUTION) Darwin Nunez and Thiago are IN for Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones. #LIVARS

  • 22' 0-1: Liverpool are eighth on the table and if they want to play in Europe, they must start winning consistently from now until the end of the season. But to be fair, the Reds have responded well since conceding that goal. #LIVARS
  • 18' 0-1: Liverpool have managed just one shot so far, which was off target by the way compared to Arsenal's 4 shots with 2 on target, one of which went in already. #LIVARS
  • 15' 0-1: Liverpool still trail in their own ground in what has been certainly no shock this season. The Reds have been awful defensively and could be punished again by this firing Arsenal team. #LIVARS
