The Tax Collectors have had a remarkable turnaround since February, having ended the first half of the season with only 14 points, winning only two games from their opening 14 games.

URA FC midfielder Joshua Lubwama 'Letti' inssits that they must keep on looking for continous improvement and continue their push for a top four finish in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The Tax Collectors have had a remarkable turnaround since February, having ended the first half of the season with only 14 points, winning only two games from their opening 14 games.

On the back of their current run of six vixtories from 10 games, in which they have taken 20 points from a possible 30, they have risen to fourth place on the standings.

URA travel to the Akii Bua Stadium in Lira to face Black Power on Wednesday evening with the hope of extending their positive run.

Lubwama has called on his teammates not to lose focus in the final weeks of the campaign, with plenty still to play for despite being out of the fight for the title.

“They picked a draw against us in our earlier meeting. They are in the bottom but they have very good players. We know that," Lubwama said ahead of the game.

“We are going to respect them and try to be consistent in our way, trying to be competitive like we have been doing recently."

“We want to be strong both in defence and add offensive moments and to keep ball possession better. That is the key for us.

“We have to adapt as well because they are in a difficult moment, and I know they'll improve and will play facing us with their power and their quality," he added.

And after succumbing to a 3-2 defeat against Maroons on Saturday, a trip against one of the teams in the bottom two provides a quick opportunity to bounce back.

Blacks Power's slight flicker of hope at the start of Hussein Mbalangu's reign at the club in November 2022 that came with back to back victories, has quickly faded with the side only picking two victories from 14 games.

They have collected only four points from the available 15 in the last five games, leaving them second from bottom on 19 points, four points away from safety with five games of the season to play.
