Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly pay Kylian Mbappe a loyalty bonus if he remains at the club.

Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe is reportedly set for a huge payday should he remain in the French capital past the coming summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old was involved in a protracted transfer saga last summer when he was close to joining Real Madrid. However, he made a U-turn and signed a two-plus-one-year contract to remain with the Ligue 1 champions.

Mbappe to earn €90m

According to RMC Sport, Paris Saint-Germain will pay their World Cup-winning superstar, Mbappe, €90 million as a loyalty bonus if he remains at the club for next season.

He signed a two-plus-one-year deal that runs until 2025. However, he can unilaterally choose not to trigger the final year of the deal, limiting it to a two-year contract, leaving the club in 2024.

Although he remains contracted to the club next season, they will reportedly reward him for not leaving the club one season after signing a contract extension.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has been nominated for Ligue 1 Player of the Season despite recent form that has seen his commitment questioned by sections of the PSG fanbase.

The 35-year-old could well leave the French top flight at the end of the season with his current deal lasting only months; however, he could leave on a high note with the league title and player of the season.
