Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been accused of neglect and abandonment by people claiming to his relatives
A group of men purporting to be Victor Osimhen’s kinsmen, from Eguare, Esan West in Edo State, have accused the Galatasaray and Super Eagles of Nigeria star of abandoning them, and consequently his father’s first house in the village.

These men, identifying themselves as the late father’s relatives, have accused the Galatasaray striker of neglecting both them and his ancestral roots after achieving international stardom.
Alleged relatives unhappy with Osimhen after sacrifices
According to the group, they are not just distant observers from Osimhen’s past but individuals who played a pivotal role during some of the darkest moments of his family’s story.

One of them claimed to have the same grandfather as Victor Osimhen’s father, making them first cousins once removed, and also claimed that he went to elementary school with the striker’s father.
They also claimed to have helped Osimhen’s father during hard times by contributing money to pay for the funeral rites of the Galatasaray star’s late mother, who passed away in his childhood, adding that they sold their properties to help Osimhen’s father cover the cost of burying his wife.
The alleged relatives, who appeared in a video on social media, were cross with Osimhen for what they deemed neglect, as well as the Super Eagles star’s alleged decision to bury his father in Lagos, rather than what they claimed was his ancestral home.

As the emotional allegations continue to make waves across social media, Victor Osimhen has remained tight-lipped, choosing instead to focus on what could become one of the most successful seasons of his career.
