OFFICIAL Ssempigi makes instant return to coaching after exiting Mbarara

Ssempigi's immediate task will be to ensure the Eastern region outfit joins the Uganda Premier League next season, after hitting off the mark in the past campaign.

Less than a month after partying ways with Mbarara City FC, tactician Sadiq Ssempigi is officially back into coaching.

The gaffer has been unveiled as the new coach for FUFA Big League side Jinja North United on a two-year employment contract.

The development comes just three days since this website reported Ssempigi and Jinja North were advancing towards agreeing a deal.

Ssempigi's immediate task will be to ensure the Eastern region outfit joins the Uganda Premier League next season, after hitting off the mark in the past campaign.

They finished 10th on the 16-team log having accumulated 39 points in 30 matches last season.

Meanwhile , Ssempigi comes with recent experience of achieving a similar feat with Mbarara City FC, having led them to a return to the topflight a year since their relegation.

Under Ssempigi, to earn promotion, the Ankole Lions finished second in the second-tier last season, behind eventual winners Kitara FC.

Ssempigi left Mbarara after the two parties decided against renewing their vows, chosing to part ways.

The tactician has previously had coaching roles at each of Mbarara City on three occasions and at Arua Hill SC.
