It's not a case of women supporting women as Michelle Alozie has been trolled by a Nigerian lady on social media after exposing the NFF's dirty laundry.

Super Falcons star Michelle Alozie has seemingly stirred up more than just a conversation following her latest remarks on the double standards at the national team level.

The 28-year-old sparked a culture clash after her candid comments on the Togethxr YouTube series, about the dire treatment of Nigeria’s national women’s team

While many fans applauded her bravery, a section of Nigerian social media did what it often does best — turned toxic.

One lady on X (formerly Twitter) with the username @sparkliin publicly trolled the Houston Dash star commenting: “Talks too much for a mid player.”

The jab highlights the all-too-familiar resistance female athletes face when speaking up, especially when they rightly criticize the system.

In the original podcast, Alozie recalled her first experience in the Falcons’ camp: “I have all these dirty clothes… I’m like, where’s the laundry? And they were like, ‘Oh, do you need soap?’ Like, what do you mean I have to handwash it?”

She also added, “We know the Super Eagles aren’t doing handwashing. So why should we?”

Her words appear to have struck a nerve, not just for the shocking insight into the national team’s behind-the-scenes reality, but for daring to compare the Super Falcons’ conditions with their male counterparts.

While Alozie faced criticism, she also received an outpouring of support.

One fan wrote: “Crazy how they’re even more successful than the men’s team”

Another commented: “Hand washing as how now. Which kind werey country be this

The Super Falcons, nine-time champions of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, are currently preparing for a crucial friendly against Cameroon in June, ahead of the 2025 WAFCON in Morocco.
