Morley Byekwaso’s charges are currently training at the Al Nasr Cultural and Sports Complex in Dubai ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Zambia’s Chipolopolo.

“The Uganda Cranes Conducted their first training in Dubai at the Al Nasr Cultural and Sports Complex ahead of the friendly game against Zambia on Tuesday at the Hamriya Stadium in Sharjah,” FUFA tweeted.

Uganda will be looking to recover from their 1-0 defeat against Mali in Bamako last Friday in their first of two international friendlies.

Zambia will also be hoping to return to winning ways, having lost 1-0 to Egypt in an international friendly on Thursday 12th, October; Hamdi Fathi scored a late winner for the Pharaohs.

The Cranes had kept it safe until the 71st minute when URA FC holding midfielder Hudu Mulikyi fouled in the box, leaving the referee with no option but to award a penalty, which Yassine Sinayoko converted.

Having fallen short in securing a spot in the AFCON 2023 tournament, the side is currently preparing for the upcoming FIFA 2026 World Cup qualification campaign, which gets underway in November.
