KCCA FC interim head coach Jackson Mayanja might have led his side to a second-place finish in the just concluded StarTimes Uganda Premier League, but that was different than the target.

In came Mia Mia, but overall, to him, the inconsistency failed KCCA FC's season.
"First of all, allow me to appreciate my younger brother (Morley) for what he did; he did his best to put the club where I found it," Mayanja noted in the post-match presser.
"However, when I came in, those draws we picked up cost us; we lacked the consistency in the season," he added.
Jackson Mayanja was in charge of KCCA FC for eight games, managing four wins, three draws and one loss in as many games.
The Kasasiro boys dropped points at home in four key games in which they had to win to remain in contention to win the league, drawing 1-1 against UPDF FC after they conceded a last-minute equalizer.
The 2-2 draw against Onduparaka also stands out, where they conceded two late goals after leading 2-0 for the more significant part of the game.
They also failed to win against a struggling Express FC and Busoga United, both away in the run-up of the title race.
Mayanja also credited his side for scoring goals during his brief stint, saying it flooded whenever they scored.
"Credit to my players though for scoring goals; we might not have been consistent, but we scored goals whenever we won (Vs Soltilo Bright Stars and S.C Villa)."
With his interim reign over, it remains to be seen who KCCA FC will name as head coach at the club for the coming season.
