With just two points, Ghana's chances of qualifying as one of the four third-best-ranked teams are very minimal, but they will hold on until the group-stage matches are done before packing their bags.

That was before Bryan Teixeira snatched a point for Cape Verde at the death.

Cape Verde stamped their Group B leadership with seven points, while Egypt, who were without the injured Mohammed Salah, also made it to the knockout stages.
