Having netted nine times in 17 league matches last season, Media has been linked with a move away from the Barifa Stadium, in a search for greener pastures.

In his first full season in the Uganda Premier League, Arua Hill SC youngster Ronald Innocent Media enjoyed decent returns, becoming a popular name among the Kongolo faithful.

The 21 year-old is viewed by the Leopards' fans as a future superstar in West Nile, especially because of his prolificness.

However, the club view their jewel as priceless to the local market, as they can only let him depart to clubs outside the country.

"Media is still contracted (with Arua Hill)," confirmed the club's CEO Pius Bamwange to Pulse Sports Uganda on Saturday.

"Maybe professionally, but locally no," Bamwange added on Media's reported possible exit from the West Nile powerhouse.

"We have plans for the boy, but if he is to leave, it will be a professional deal, but locally, no chance," Bamwange reiterated.

The Koboko-born, who is a graduate from Buddo Secondary School, first featured in the topflight in the 2021/22 season playing six times and scoring twice.

Meanwhile, Arua Hill has already lost Richard Matovu and Bright Vuni, while a host of stars including Rashid Toha, Gadafi Wahab and Allan Mugalu are reportedly out of contract.

In what was only their second season in the topflight in the previous campaign, they finished fourth, having accumulated 44 points in 28 matches.
