Arua Hill Sports Club forward Innocent Media is heading to Italian lower division side Unione Sportiva Lucera Calcio.

Italian lower division side Unione Sportiva Lucera Calcio confirmed the acquisition of Media on their Facebook account, stating that the forward's transfer is imminent.

"A new lion is coming to town. Straight from Uganda Premier League," Lucera Calcio captioned on Facebook on June 30, with a photo of Media.

Lucera Calcio competes in the Promozione, a sixth-tier Italian football championship.

The championship ranks third in the amateur division, second to a regional-level championship.

Media, a budding prospect, netted nine goals in 17 league matches in the 2022/23 season as Arua Hill finished fourth.

The 21-year-old joined the club in the 2021/22 season scoring two goals in six appearances following an impressive performance with Buddo SSS, where he was captain.

In a related development, reports allege Arua Hill Sports Club is in talks with Turkish second-division side Ankara Keciourengucu to sign attacking midfielder Rashid Kawawa and Joseph Kamwesiga.

It was reported that Media was among the players heading to Turkey.

The West Nile giants reportedly inked a partnership agreement with the Ankara-based team in November last year, which included taking a number of their players to Turkey.
