"I think he can give us a push in front, and I believe we are in a better position for the title hunt come the second round."

Uganda Premier League table leaders BUL FC have secured the services of highly experienced versatile attacker and winger Ibrahim Orit.

The former Vipers SC player has been tied down to a two-year employment contract.

BUL head coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko has highlighted that Orit will add valuable experience, and his abilities will lead the charge for silverware this season.

“We were lacking an experienced midfielder; we only had Jerome Kirya, who was overloaded in that he had to play almost all the games and looked like he was getting tired,” Kikomeko told the club media.

“So, we needed to beef up our midfield department, and Ibrahim Orit was the best choice for the task.”

Orit is a two-time Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup champion, triumphs he reached during his time at Vipers.

“He has got the experience that we need having played in the topflight and for big teams before," Kikomeko added.

"I think he can give us a push in front, and I believe we are in a better position for the title hunt come the second round."

Orit has also previously played for Arua Hill SC and Mbarara City FC in the topflight.

At the top of the UPL table, BUL have 33 points, three ahead of second-placed Vipers after 15 matches.

They are also expected to mount a fight for the 2023/24 Uganda Cup and were paired against Simba FC for the Round of 64.
