Odong signs two-year contract with a Ugandan side after parting ways with Tanzanian club Biashara United Mara.

Former Tusker FC forward, Matthew Odong, has made a triumphant return to his native Uganda, signing a two-year contract with Star Times Premier League side BUL FC.

Odong recently parted ways with Tanzanian club Biashara United Mara, and his move to BUL marks a new chapter in his career.

Odong, who left Tusker six years ago, had two stints with the Football Kenya Federation Premier League giants.

The talented forward has now inked a two-year contract with BUL FC, hoping to make a significant impact on the team.

Upon signing Odong, BUL  head coach Abbey Kikomeko Bogere expressed his excitement about the addition of the experienced player.

"Odong is an experienced player who can play either as an attacking midfielder or a striker. He has played locally and outside the country, and he has a good work rate," said Bogere.

"He is still young, and I know he can still progress and get us good results. With the depth and quality of players we have in our midfield, I expect a lot of creativity, fluidity, and good goals."

Before his move to Tanzania, Odong rose to prominence while representing Kampala University in the university football league.

In 2014, he joined the now-defunct SC Victoria University and left a mark by scoring the lone goal as the university side narrowly fell out of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 3-1 aggregate loss to DR Congo's Don Bosco at Namboole.

Odong's journey in Ugandan football also saw him feature for URA FC before he made the move to Tusker FC in 2015.

He subsequently played for other FKF Premier League clubs such as Kariobangi Sharks, Wazito FC, and Zoo Kericho.
