Kenyan national women's team prepares to overcome hurdles and secure spot in Morocco.

Kenya's national women's football team, Harambee Starlets  are set to embark on an exhilarating journey as they compete in the qualifiers for the 2024 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON).

Drawn against Cameroon's formidable Indomitable Lionesses in the first round of qualifiers, the Starlets face a tough task ahead.

These two-legged encounters will take place between September 18 and September 26, 2023, with the first leg being played away from home.

However, the Starlets, under the guidance of head coach Godfrey 'Solo' Oduor, are prepared to fight tooth and nail to secure victory and advance to the next stage.

According to the draw conducted by CAF on Thursday, if the Starlets emerge victorious on aggregate against Cameroon, they will then face either Gabon or Botswana in the second round.

The battles of the second round are scheduled to take place from November 27 to December 5, 2023.

The stakes will be higher, as a win in this round would secure automatic qualification for the prestigious 2024 Africa Women Cup of Nations in Morocco.

For the Harambee Starlets, these qualifiers mark a momentous occasion, as they make their much-awaited return to CAF Competitions.

Following Kenya's lengthy suspension from football by FIFA, the team is eager to showcase their talent, determination, and growth on the continental stage.

The Starlets have been diligently working towards this opportunity, honing their skills and strategizing to overcome any obstacles that come their way.

The Harambee Starlets have a rich history in the Africa Women Cup of Nations. Although they have not yet secured the ultimate prize, their performances especially in the 2016 edition have demonstrated their potential and resilience.

The team has consistently showcased their ability to compete with the best in Africa, earning respect and admiration along the way.

As Harambee Starlets embark on this challenging journey towards the Africa Women Cup of Nations, Kenyan football fans rally behind them with unwavering support.

The nation eagerly awaits the team's success, hoping that their resilience and determination will lead them to qualify for the tournament in Morocco.

The road may be tough, but the Harambee Starlets are ready to seize the opportunity and make their mark in African women's football.

With their eyes firmly set on Morocco, they are determined to etch their names in history and inspire a new generation of female footballers in Kenya.
