The left footed gem appeared to nip at his former employers in his reaction upon penning down a three-year contract with the Venoms on Thursday.

Following his unveiling as a new Vipers SC player, attacking midfielder Allan Okello has aimed a jab at his former side and now rivals, KCCA FC.

The left footed gem appeared to nip at his former employers in his reaction upon penning down a three-year contract with the Venoms on Thursday.

"I didn't have to think twice when Vipers called me," Okello told the club media in what has been interpreted as a supposed jibe at the Kasasiro Boys who also wanted him back.

"I just knew I wanted to sign for the club," a jolly and excited Okello said before adding: "I can't wait to get started with the team."

The Uganda Cranes midfielder further termed his new side "this big club" and that he is "so happy and excited to join Vipers."

He then told Sanyuka Prime: "I felt it was the right moment to take a new step in my career, and I'm sure it's the best decision I took."

Expectedly, the move came as a huge shock for the majority of the KCCA fans, as Vipers have, over the recent years, emerged as their biggest rivals.

A section of KCCA FC fans has questioned Okello's loyalty as he is a former senior team player and their academy graduate.

It awaits to be seen whether Okello will dive straight into action with Vipers or opt for knee surgery first to sort out the nagging complications.
