Kasule, a 19-year-old talent who joined the team from Wakiso Giants FC, has made a significant impact, notching up an impressive 15 goals and five assists in as many games. His recent achievement has provided a massive boost to his motivation.

Uganda Cranes midfielder Ibrahim Kasule is on cloud nine after receiving recognition in the MLS NEXT Pro League.

Kasule, a 19-year-old talent who joined the team from Wakiso Giants FC, has made a significant impact, notching up an impressive 15 goals and five assists in as many games. His recent achievement has provided a massive boost to his motivation.

"Receiving this recognition fuels my motivation even more... Aluta continua," Kasule exclaimed in a tweet.

Notable achievements

Kasule's contribution of 20 goals, comprising 15 goals and five assists, not only matched the league's single-season goal record but also included a remarkable feat of scoring in seven consecutive matches, setting a new club and league record.

During an eleven-game run from May 27th to August 1st, 2023, Kasule showcased his prowess with ten goals and four assists.

He was honored with back-to-back Player of the Month awards; his first accolade arrived in July when he scored five goals and provided an assist. In August, he repeated the feat with an equal number of goals.

Furthermore, Kasule made his MLS debut on August 30th during the Red Bulls' match against New England.

Kasule has been playing alongside compatriot Frank Ssebuufu, who joined Ibra Ssekagya's squad before him. Ssebuufu, a tall forward, has contributed seven goals and four assists since his arrival.

The trio's primary focus is now set on guiding the team as far as possible in the upcoming inaugural MLS NEXT playoff campaign.
