Inter Milan's Andre Onana warns Manchester City that his team will give all it takes to win the Champions League.

Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana has warned Manchester City that his team will try everything to win the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri square up against the Premier League champions in five days' time. Pep Guardiola's side are viewed as favourites, but Onana believes his team will give it all it takes.

What Onana said

The Cameroon international was speaking to Italian broadcast outlet SportMediaSet when he spoke about Inter's Champions League chances.

He maintained that his team would go to Istanbul to win, as they have been preparing for it, saying finals are not played but won.

He, however, acknowledged the difficulty of the task in front of them, stating that Manchester City were a very good team, but maintained that they would go all out to add a trophy to the Nerrazurri's rich legacy.

“We really hope to win everything,” he said, per FCInterNews.

“We know it will certainly be difficult, up against a top-class opponent. But we’ll be there, wanting to add to Inter’s already great history. We will give everything on the pitch—our lives if needed!

“But we have to be well-prepared because a massive match awaits us against a top-quality opponent. However, I’m convinced that if we keep working the way we have been, we’ll have our chances.

“Finals aren’t played. They are won.”

Meanwhile, Manchester City's star midfielder Kevin de Bruyne has stated that his legacy will not be defined by winning or not winning the Champions League.
