Jude Bellingham headed home a beautiful cross from David Alaba in Real Madrid’s win over Napoli to set a new Champions League record.

Madrid had already confirmed their spot in the Champions League knockout stages, but that did not stop them from taking all three points against Napoli with a fine performance spearheaded by Bellingham

The Serie A champions drew the first blood through Giovanni Simeone in the ninth minute, but Madrid quickly restored parity with a fine finish from Rodrygo.

In the 22nd minute, Bellingham headed in David Alaba's cross to put the 14-time winners 2-1 ahead in what was his 15th goal in 16 appearances since signing for Los Blancos.

Two minutes into the second half, Zambo Anguissa equalised for Napoli with an angled finish.

However, academy graduate Nico Paz scored a stunner in the 84th minute to restore Real Madrid’s lead, before Joselu added a fourth in the 94th minute.

The Englishman became the first player in history to score in each of his first four Champions League appearances for Real Madrid.

The midfielder also assisted Joselu’s goal as Madrid continued their perfect record in this season's Champions League.

Manchester City and Madrid are the only sides with a perfect record in the Champions League this season, with both teams winning five out of five.

Ancelotti heaps praise on Bellingham

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti reserved a lot of praise for Bellingham, pointing out how good his movement is and how quickly he adapted to his new team.

"He's spectacular in getting into the box; he comes into the box like a motorbike," said the Madrid manager while speaking to Movistar Plus after the game.

"It's surprising because nobody could have imagined such fast adaptation here, to this club and the football he is showing. He surprises the fans, team mates and even rivals," he added.
