This strategic addition to the club's technical team comes as part of a broader restructuring process that kicked off last month with the appointment of Stojanovic as Villa's head coach.

SC Villa is set to appoint seasoned coach Fred Kajoba as its new goalkeeping coach, Pulse Sports understands.

Kajoba, a seasoned coach with a wealth of experience in the field, is set to work under Serbian coach Dusan Stojanovic, shaping the team's future and ushering in a new era for Villa.

This strategic addition to the club's technical team comes as part of a broader restructuring process that kicked off last month with the appointment of Stojanovic as Villa's head coach.

The team's management is keen on assembling a world-class technical crew that reflects their ambitious vision for the club.

Kajoba is no stranger to the spotlight; he has been the driving force behind the training of the Uganda Cranes' goalkeepers for over a decade.

His illustrious career includes contributing to the Cranes' historic qualification for back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in 2017 and 2019, hosted by Gabon and Egypt respectively.

Kajoba steps into the shoes of Robert Mukasa 'Kiyenje’, who previously held the position of goalkeeper coach at SC Villa.

However, Kajoba's experience goes beyond goalkeeping coaching; he holds an impressive track record in managing top-tier clubs as well.

Among his notable achievements is leading Vipers SC to a league title in 2021, and his tenures at Simba (UPDF) and Bright Stars.

Villa's decision to bring Kajoba on board is particularly notable, given the recent dismissal of their former goalkeeper coach Mubarak Kiberu.

The club cited conflicting priorities as the reason behind Kiberu's sacking, who was also serving as the goalkeeper coach for several Uganda underage national teams.

There's significant curiosity surrounding how Kajoba's new position at SC Villa will impact his longstanding association with the Uganda Cranes.

Recent suggestions within the Cranes' management propose a goalkeeping department with Kajoba at its helm, overseeing the development of goalkeepers across all age groups, from the U15s to the senior national team.
