Head coach Sergio Traguil has named the travelling squad, with goalkeeper Derrick Ochan, midfielders Moses Waiswa and Arafat Usama amongst the notable absentees.

KCCA FC will be without some of their key players when they take on Startimes Uganda Premier League on Friday in Masindi.

Head coach Sergio Traguil has named the travelling squad, with goalkeeper Derrick Ochan, midfielders Moses Waiswa and Arafat Usama amongst the notable absentees.

Ashraf Mugume, Musitafa Mujuzi and Herbert Achai are the other high-profile absentees.

Goalkeepers Anthony Emojong and Juma Mutebi will be fighting for a starting place between the sticks.

Traguil has recently mourned about lacking a talented custodian and will have the two options to choose from on the day.

The KCCA FC defence has shipped in five goals already and will be looking to keep out the lethal Kitara FC forward line.

James Mubeezi, Mustafa Kizza, Peter Magambo, Emilson Gonzaga, Filbert Obenchan, Rogers Atube and Bruno Adilson are the defenders selected for the job in Masindi.

In midfield, Etienne Katenga, Joel Sserunjogi, Saidi Mayanja, Gui Cungulo, Faisal Wabyona, Dominic Ayella, Gabriel Joao and Hassan Mubiru have been selected.

On-form striker Muhammad Shaban, who has scored two goals in the first three matches, will be expected to lead the line and the search for goals.

South Sudan international Emmanuel Loki will also be hoping to make his KCCA FC debut, while youngster Abubakar Mayanja completes the forward options for the Portuguese tactician.

KCCA FC are without any points after three Match Days and will be in search of their first win against the table leaders.

Kitara boast a rich squad of established league players, with several having gone through the doors of MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Brian Aheebwa and Paul Mucureezi are some of the players to have featured for KCCA and will now turn their guns towards their former bosses.
