After failing to get playing time at KCCA FC, striker Brian Kayanja has found a new club and will join the long list of players departing Lugogo in this transfer window.

Kayanja found playing time hard to come by under Morley Byekwaso and was loaned out to Maroons for the first round of last season.

With strikers like Tshisungu Kankonde, Muhammad Shaban, Charles Lwanga and Brian Aheebwa all ahead of him in pecking order, the former Bright Stars goal poacher asked to be loaned out.

But as the exodus at Lugogo continues, Kayanja is one of the several players leaving and is now linked with a move to newly-promoted side NEC FC.

Hussein Mbalangu’s charges are beefing up the team with some Uganda Premier League experience before making their debut when the season kicks off.

Kayanja joined KCCA FC in 2021 on a three-year and will leave with nothing to write home about his stay at the club.

Before his move to KCCA, Kayanja had featured for the likes of BrightStars, UPDF FC Sofapaka in Kenya.
