The Malawian giants have maintained their positive form into June, winning two of their three matches.

Kenyan international Clyde Senaji was on Thursday named Nyasa Big Bullets' Hubertus Clausius May Player of the Month.

The 26-year-old defender's outstanding performances played a pivotal role in Big Bullets' success, as they secured victories in three matches against Moyale Barracks, Bangwe All Stars, Red Lions and earned a hard-fought point against Civo United.

Senaji emerged as the clear favorite in the highly anticipated Player of the Month poll, garnering an impressive 48 percent of the fans' votes.

Following closely behind the center-back were central midfielder Ernest Petro and attacker Lanjesi Nkhoma, who claimed second and third place, respectively.

"Our Kenyan centre-back got 48 percent of fans' votes with Ernest Petro coming in second place and Lanjesi Nkhoma coming third," reads the club's announcement in part.

In an earlier interview with the club, Senaji, who is in his first season with the club, said the experience has been good at the People's Team.

"I haven't struggled to get into the starting XI and am happy with how things have worked for me since my arrival. I have adapted so well to the system as I pushed so hard to be part of this team," he said.

The talented defender joined Nyasa Big Bullets at the start of the season following his departure from reigning FKF Premier League champions Tusker FC.

He left the Kenyan giants after only 15 months with the club, having joined from AFC Leopards in September 2021.

He featured for Tusker in CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup qualifier matches and was part of the squad that clinched the 2021/22 title season.

Nyasa Big Bullets has undoubtedly gained a valuable asset in Senaji, whose defensive prowess has proven invaluable on the field.

His ability to read the game, make crucial interceptions, and provide much-needed stability to the backline has earned him recognition from both fans and the club.
