Malawian giants Nyasa Big Bullets successfully defended their FDH Bank Cup title, securing a resounding 3-0 victory in the final played at Bingu Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Kenyan defender Clyde Senaji, a key player for the Bullets, played a pivotal role in ensuring the opposition remained goalless until the 82nd minute with a stunning block that denied Mafco from scoring.

The match saw Senaji's exceptional skills come to the forefront, as he expertly cleared a dangerous corner kick. While his compatriot, Collins Okumu, did not make it into the lineup, he received a medal, a testament to his contribution to the team's journey.

The road to the final for Nyasa Big Bullets was nothing short of spectacular. They asserted their dominance with a convincing 5-1 victory over Dedza Dynamos Salima Sugar.

Mafco's path to the final was marked by nail-biting encounters. Their semi-final showdown against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers was a tightly contested affair, ultimately culminating in a narrow 1-0 victory.

The match's only goal was delivered by the team's captain, Paul Ndhlovu. This victory marked a significant milestone for Mafco FC, as it was their first appearance in a cup final in a decade.

Nyasa Big Bullets showcased their championship pedigree in the final, putting on a dazzling display of skill and teamwork. Lanjesi Nkhoma emerged as a hero, scoring a brace in the first half, setting the tone for their dominant performance.

The first goal was a display of precision as Nkhoma calmly slotted the ball past the opposition's goalkeeper. In the second half, Ephraim Kondowe put the final nail in Mafco FC's coffin, ensuring that the trophy remained with the Bullets.

Mafco FC fought valiantly throughout the match but couldn't break through the resolute defense of the Nyasa Big Bullets. Senaji's brilliant clearance was just one example of the defensive prowess that kept Mafco at bay.

The victory not only secured the FDH Bank Cup for Nyasa Big Bullets but also cemented their reputation as a dominant force in Malawi football.
