"So, I was telling the boys that I haven't won here but this should be my day and game," Ssenyondo added.

The game was tense and equally contested, but its the Royals that smiled to the three points.

"I knew this would be a hard game but as long as you're organized, you can always come and get three points," noted Ssenyondo.

"KCCA started well, brought the game to us, but they were not effective and we used that."

"If it had ended in a draw, it would have been a fair result. It was a game of two halves: they played well in the first and we were on top in the second."

With the win, Kitara moved to 36 points in second, two adrift of leaders BUL FC, dropped two points at Maroons FC after a barren stalemate.
