"But we have a lot of hope we shall play our domestic games in our home come next season. As for the Champions League in case we win the UPL, we will use Namboole or any other available."

Kitara FC could be back to their eternal home, the Kigaya Playgrounds in Hoima next season after continued renovation and upgrading works.

The Royals were forced into shifting to the Masindi Municipal Stadium for the current campaign, as theirs didn't certify the desired FUFA Licensing requirements.

However, club President Deo Kasozi has given a lease of hope that the fans could finally enjoy Uganda Premier League action in their own backyard.

"Because these rains, by the time FUFA will come to check it (the pitch) in May, it will be fit to have first division games," Kasozi said in an interview with NBS Sport.

"The fence around the pitch is done, and the only works needed are with the outside fencing."

"And om that note, I request the fans to keep helping the club purchase the bricks needed to have the fence and the dressing rooms. They are the only ones remaining."

"Then, we'll be able to host the StarTimes Uganda Premier League games," Kasozi added with optimism.

"Those who thought we could host the CAF Champions League games they are wrong. That needs a lot of time and money, which money we are still injecting back into the team."

"But we have a lot of hope we shall play our domestic games in our home come next season. As for the Champions League in case we win the UPL, we will use Namboole or any other available."

Kitara currently leads the UPL proceedings with 43 points after 21 games.
