Koulibaly is among the notable departures from Chelsea during the summer transfer window, joining the Gulf State.

Al-Hilal, the Saudi giants, secured the Senegalese player in a €25 million deal from Chelsea, and he is set to earn €30 million per year.

The towering defender has expressed his desire to utilize his earnings to support various youth projects in his home country and provide his family with greater comfort.

According to the Evening Standard, when asked if money was his primary motivation, Koulibably responded: "I cannot deny it."

"I will be able to ensure the well-being of my entire family, from my parents to my cousins, and support the initiatives of my Capitaine du Coeur association in Senegal," Koulibaly told The Evening Standard.

"We have already begun constructing a clinic in my parents' village, and I have numerous projects aimed at assisting young individuals,” he added.

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winning captain revealed that his decision to move to Saudi Arabia was influenced by his Muslim faith.

"As a Muslim, I am arriving in an ideal country for myself and my family," he stated.

Koulibaly is joined by his former teammate N'Golo Kante, who moved to Al-Ittihad, and there are reports suggesting Hakim Ziyech may also transfer to Al-Nassr.
