Tusker FC captain Humphrey Mieno has urged his teammates to stay focused ahead of a tough run of three league fixtures and a cup final if they are to stand a chance of winning a first double since 2016.
The Brewers drew 0-0 with Gor Mahia, keeping them on top of the table on 64 points, but they still have to face tough tests ahead including Wazito away at the dreaded Muhoroni Stadium and the FKF Cup final against a resilient Kakamega Homeboyz.

One of them (Vihiga Bullets) have already been relegated and Posta Rangers are comfortably in mid-table. Wazito however, are fighting to stay up. We have to be focused and try to get all three points.”

“It will be great if we can win all the two trophies but we cannot say we have won until we play. We have to play to win and then from there, we will see.
“Jackson Macharia was also part of that team (that won the double in 2016). We have been in such a situation before so we know how to deal with it, including the manager as well who has won a lot, so hopefully it will help us in the remaining games.”
