A recap of how Harambee Stars players featured in Sweden this weekend.

Former Gor Mahia defender Frank Odhiambo and Bandari midfielder Anthony Wambani featured as Swedish second tier side Vasalunds grabbed a deserved win over Bordes FF to keep their promotion dreams from the Ettan Norra alive on Sunday evening.

Vasalunds got off to a flier, taking the lead in the 10th minute through Christian Moses.Their lead would not last long though, as Bodens took advantage of a mistake between Vasserund keeper and the defense  which Zhishim Bawa took advantage of to make it 1-1.

In the second half, Boderns started the better of the two sides, creating a couple of chances to put themselves ahead, but could not take advantage of them.

They would be punished for their profligacy as in the 90th minute, Victor De Olivera would net what became the winning goal to put the side fifth in the division, eight points from second placed Dalkurd.

Things were not as rosy for Kenyan left back Erick Marcelo Ouma, featuring as the 2018 Allsvenskan champions were battered 4-2 by Hammarby on Sunday evening.

The visitors took the lead through Omar Fahaj, before Hammarby restored parity through Jusef Erabi four minutes later.

The hosts would take the lead in the 58th minute through Nahir Besara, before extending it seven minutes later through Viktor Dukanovic.

AIK would reduce the deficit through Mads Thychosen, but Dukanovic would set the game to match when he scored his second of the night in the first minute of extra time.

AIK will now have their work cut out to avoid relegation with eight matches of the season left to play.

In another match, Ouma’s on-loan Kenyan teammate Henry Atola Meja failed to feature as Norby beat Atvidaberg thanks to a Semir Bosnic goal in an Ettan Sodra Match played on Saturday evening.
